The sources in this section appeared in a wide range of publications and cover everything from organization efforts by gig workers to safety concerns facing consumers of gig services. Many of them were among the first to identify and explore a particular aspect of the gig economy that has, since then, attracted considerable scholarly attention. Since the universe of “media coverage” is immense, these sources reflect a tiny and idiosyncratic collection, and we very much welcome suggestions.
